After earning an Associate of Science in computer maintenance technology from Texas State Technical Institute and a Bachelor of Science in electrical and computer engineering from the University of Texas at Austin, Mr. Tennison began his career as an engineer. He worked in various engineering positions for 13 years before seeking more fulfillment in his career. He wanted to find a new career path that would allow him to support his family while spending more time with them, and he heard about a real estate club named Lifestyle Unlimited that taught people about real estate investing. Mr. Tennison joined the club and was able to learn a significant amount about real estate through courses offered by the club and the Houston Apartment Association. Today, he works as a real estate investor as the chief executive officer of Verve Assets LLC.

In his current position as head of a property management company, Mr. Tennison manages Verve Mirabella LLC which owns Mirabella Apartments, a 98-unit apartment complex. He oversees a small staff, as well as all hiring and business finances. As an accomplished real estate professional, Mr. Tennison has received several awards throughout his career. He was a finalist for the Small Community of the Year award from the National Apartment Association. He won the Houston Apartment Association award for Property of the Year and the National Apartment Association award for Community Crisis Response of the Year.

For his accomplishments in the field and his creative and compassionate response to COVID, he was featured in an article in People Magazine, "Things Have Come Undone" by Amy Eskind. Over the years, Mr. Tennison has attributed his professional success to his fortitude and determination. Looking toward the future, he plans to invest in more properties.
