MITCHELL, SD, August 24, 2021 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Tonya Klingaman has been included in Marquis Who's Who. In 1996, Ms. Klingaman earned an associate degree as a clinical and medical laboratory technician from Mitchell Technical College. She continued her studies with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a Master of Science in secondary education from Dakota Wesleyan University in Mitchell from 2006 to 2008. Ms. Klingaman initially excelled as a medical laboratory technician at Avera Queen of Peace and Avera McKennan Hospitals in Mitchell and Sioux Falls between 1995 and 2004, where her responsibilities included the collection and analysis of findings from various specimens in medical laboratories and working with patient specimens in the hematology, chemistry, urinalysis, blood banking, serology, microbiology and coagulation departments.
In 2006 Ms. Klingaman entered academia as a paraeducator with the Mitchell School District, working with special needs children from kindergarten through 5th grade with instruction in reading, writing, mathematics and study skills. From 2009 to 2014, she made an impact as a secondary school science instructor with the Mount Vernon School District in South Dakota, teaching students in grades 9 through 12 in physical science, biology, human anatomy, chemistry and physics. From 2011 to 2013, she flourished as an adjunct medical laboratory professor with Colorado Technical University at its Sioux Falls campus. Additionally, Ms. Klingaman provided exemplary service as an adjunct professor in environmental science, biology, microbiology and physical science at Dakota Wesleyan University from 2011 to 2015 and Northern State University in Huron in 2014.
Inspired by her husband, Kleve, Ms. Klingaman entered the real estate field in 2014 as a broker associate at Mitchell Realty LLC. In 2019, she founded EXIT Realty - Mitchell which she owns and operates with her husband in Mitchell, In her present position, Ms. Klingaman manages her team of five other realtors and handles day-to-day operations of the business.
Ms. Klingaman holds an additional certification from the South Dakota Real Estate Commission. Furthermore, she is a member of the Souuth Dakota Association of Realtors and the National Association of Realtors. In addition, Ms. Klingaman has found success as the owner of the North Central Seed Company in Mitchell, a premier supplier of alfalfa, sorghum, sweet corn, clover and grass seeds as well as retail bakery products and supplies.
Ms. Klingaman has been active in various charity and volunteer work in Mitchell, including as the financial chairman and a mission task force member for Resurrection Lutheran Church. She has also contributed to the board for the Business Improvement District, the James Valley Community Center and the Safehouse Board for Battered Women and Children. In the coming years, Ms. Klingaman would like to help cement EXIT Realty – Mitchell as the largest real estate company in the area.
