FARMERSVILLE, OH, August 25, 2021 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Leland E. Sinks has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Mr. Sinks is a former toolmaker, machinist and clock technician who has channeled his passion for antique timepieces into running Dr. O'Timekeepers, an independent clock restoration business, since 2012. With a workshop based out of his own home, Dr. O'Timekeepers specializes in the repair and restoration of antique and modern clocks regardless of their history of damage or neglect. Believing that there is hope for any clock, no matter the age, Mr. Sinks has successfully restored pieces dating back to the late 1700s.

Prior to opening Dr. O'Timekeepers, Mr. Sinks repaired timepieces on a part-time basis for more than two decades while working full-time as a machine operator and toolmaker for a subsidiary of General Motors. Before embarking upon his professional career, he served proudly as an aircraft mechanic in the United States Navy from 1965 until 1969. Mr. Sinks is a certified aircraft mechanic and holds an Associate of Applied Science from the Columbus Technical Institute.

Mr. Sinks remains deeply interested in the history and heritage of watchmaking, and credits his success to his love for the craft and the instruction of early mentor Charlie McGeorge. He began to study clock repair seriously with Mr. McGeorge as a way to manage his depression following his first wife's death from breast cancer, and attributes his involvement in the industry to Mr. McGeorge's encouragement. Mr. Sinks specializes in repairing mantel and wall clocks, and has been able to bring timepieces passed down five or six generations back to life.
