From a young age, Mr. Minces was inspired to pursue a career in law because of his father, who was a stockbroker. After earning a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Texas at Austin, he concluded his studies with a Doctor of Jurisprudence from the University of Texas School of Law. Mr. Minces was additionally admitted to practice law by the State Bar of Texas and the New York State Bar Association.
Mr. Minces began his career at a large, international law firm in New York City. Learning from his father about the intricacies of investments, he shifted his focus toward investment management law. In his community, Mr. Minces further serves as a board member of Heart of Gold, through which he hosts an annual golf tournament and raises money for children with heart disease.
Mr. Minces currently excels as the Chief Revenue Officer of Blue River Partners LLC, a part of IQEQ. Blue River Partners was founded by Mr. Minces and his business partner in 2009, and merged with IQEQ in 2020. In his present position, he works with private equity managers and hedge fund managers to support back-office business, accounting and tax services, and information technology services. Mr. Minces also found success in fund structuring and tax structuring, as well as more nuanced aspects of legal issues pertaining to investing activities.
In 2020, Blue River Partners LLC was purchased by a large international group called IQEQ. After the sale, the company was featured in Vanguard Magazine. For two consecutive years, Blue River Partners LLC was highlighted in the Dallas 100 by Southern Methodist University (SMU) School of Entrepreneurship. Furthermore, the aforementioned business has been presented with the Best Place to Work Award.
Throughout his career, Mr. Minces has been incredibly proud of taking a risk and developing Blue River Partners, with which he has altered the alternative asset industry by becoming the first company to offer a third party corporate back office solution as an alternative to internal hires. He also fondly recalls hiring his first employee, which eventually culminated in exponential growth. He has attributed his professional success to his drive to continually educate himself. Looking toward the future, Mr. Minces plans to continue cultivating organic growth for IQEQ while working to strategically acquire more U.S. based businesses.
