After receiving an associate degree from San Diego State University in 2007, he began his career in the cannabis industry as director of operations of the Canna Group in 2008, a position he held until 2018. Today, Mr. Fernandez has excelled as director of EFC since 2007 and owner of Movocan dba Aroma Cannabis since 2018. He also offers web sales and marketing consultations in his area. In his position, Mr. Fernandez specialized in crisis management and ensuring all staff are knowledgeable to educate customers about their products.
Throughout his career, Mr. Fernandez has been most proud of the business that he built in his area. Imperial County consists of many churches; as a result, residents were initially skeptical about cannabis being at the forefront of the wellness industry. Notably, Mr. Fernandez was the first licensed cannabis distributor to establish a dispensary and was able to push forward and dramatically alter the perception on cannabis products. As such, he has leveraged his business to connect with others and provide alternative health care solutions to individuals to improve their health.
As an active member of his community, Mr. Fernandez has been involved with the Friends of El Centro Community Services Foundation and the Imperial Valley Center for Exceptional Children.
