IRVINE, CA, September 10, 2021 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Jason Tkaczuk has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. After earning a Bachelor of Arts in political science with a minor in African American studies from the University of California, Berkeley in 2016, Mr. Tkaczuk started law school at the University of California Irvine. He then clerked for the Equal Justice Society in Oakland, California, where he conducted case research, drafted legal memoranda for supervising attorneys and co-counsel and attended the "Resilience of Racism" conference on implicit bias and other mind-science concepts related to critical race theory. Mr. Tkaczuk then obtained an MBA at the University of California Irvine's Paul Merage School of Business. While in business school, he worked as a summer associate for the East Bay Community Law Center's Community Economic Development clinic, and then for UCI Law's Immigrant Rights and Community and Economic Development clinics. Here, he provided comprehensive corporate guidance to assist nonprofit community organizations, prepared applications for loans and federal tax-exempt status, offered legal advice at board meetings, represented detained immigrants, and successfully argued for granting bond to a detained immigrant despite a previous denial. Mr. Tkaczuk sat for the July 2021 California Bar Examination and is awaiting his results.

Mr. Tkaczuk received Pro Bono Honors for working 120 pro bono hours during law school and he was a Lawyering Skills Research Fellow, helping teach law students legal research and writing and most recently was the law clerk manager at a law firm in Irvine. Mr. Tkaczuk was also presented with the Dean's Award from the International Human Rights' writing seminar and a grant from the University of California Irvine, a fellowship in business school and induction into the Beta Gamma Sigma International Business Honor Society. In the near future, Mr. Tkaczuk aims to work as a transactional attorney at a law firm that serves the public interest.
