STOCKTON, CA, September 10, 2021 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Maridee Stanley has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

After earning a Bachelor of Arts in performing arts, with an emphasis in dance, from the University of California Berkeley, Ms. Stanley pursued a career in law. Upon earning a Doctor of Jurisprudence from the New College of California School of Law, she excelled as an attorney for two decades, before retiring from the field and embarking on another journey. Hailing from a long line of teachers, Ms. Stanley elected to pursue further education, earning a multiple subject credential from California State University, Stanislaus, and a Master of Education in STEM education through the Teachers' College of San Joaquin.

Drawing on years of varied expertise, Ms. Stanley works today as a kindergarten teacher for the John F. Kennedy Elementary School within the Stockton United School District. In addition to teaching coding and robotics, she integrates the arts into her teaching and has written and produced two short science musicals. Outside of her work, Ms. Stanley continues to contribute to her students by volunteering through various after-school STEM programs.

In order to remain aware of changes in the field, Ms. Stanley aligns herself with several organizations, including the National Science Teachers Association, the California Teachers Association and the National Education Association. For her outstanding accomplishments, she was recognized with a Teacher's Excellence Award. Looking toward the future, Ms. Stanley intends to continue outlining a children's book that integrates teaching scientific concepts into a broader narrative.
