PHOENIX, AZ, September 13, 2021 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Paul E. Johnson Jr. has been inducted into Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

After completing a program for Senior Executives from the Harvard Kennedy School in 1990, receiving a Bachelor of Business from the University of Phoenix in 1995, and attending Arizona State University as a History Major, Mr. Johnson began his career in politics. He served as a councilman and then became the youngest mayor of Phoenix, Arizona at 30 years old, serving as mayor between 1990 and 1994. He also worked in real estate before moving on to the health care sector. In 2012, he co-founded Redirect Health alongside Dr. David Berg and Dr. Janice Johnston.

Previously, Mr. Johnson founded several multi-million-dollar companies, such as Southwest Next LLC, Greater Phoenix Economic Council (GPEC), and Old World Communities LLC. With Redirect Health, he and his team members seek to develop streamlined, affordable healthcare, anytime and anywhere that complies with the Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974 (ERISA). Redirect Health eliminates the unnecessary costs and administrative processes that often complicate and frustrate the healthcare journey. While working in politics, Mr. Johnson witnessed the depth of healthcare disparities in the country. To combat these gaps, he, Dr. Berg, and Dr. Johnston founded a primary care base, which has now grown to become medically licensed and insured in all 50 U.S. states and has saved its members over $200 million in unnecessary spending.

A fully end-to-end solution geared towards businesses and people who have been priced out of or forgotten by the existing system, Redirect Health has delivered quality primary care—whether virtual or in office—across more than 3 million visits. Combining physician expertise, easy-to-use technology and pro-active population health, Redirect Health brings transparency to care and cost. Mr. Johnson's goal is to ultimately lower costs by creating a more affordable healthcare experience for businesses and people.

For his efforts in his career, Mr. Johnson was named among the Top 16 People Most Likely to Watch in Arizona in 2016. As mayor he and his administration were showcased in The New York Times, Forbes, and People, among other national media outlets, for efforts leading to the Bertelsmann Award honoring Phoenix as the "Best Run City in the World." In addition, Redirect Health has received a number of awards from industry associations over the years. In his community, Mr. Johnson has been civically active with Arrowhead Health Centers, the John C. Lincoln Hospital Foundation, the City of Phoenix Bond Commission and the Greater Phoenix Economic Commission.

Throughout his career, Mr. Johnson has attributed his professional success to those who surround him. His background in business and politics has aided in the formation of his current professional practices. Looking toward the future, Mr. Johnson plans to make affordable and meaningful healthcare available to as many Americans as possible. He believes that access to basic healthcare services should be available to anyone who needs it.
