Caroline Means Bitterwolf Celebrated for Dedication to the Field of Education

Dr. Bitterwolf retired from Moscow School District after 30 years of devotion to the field

FORT MILL, SC, September 17, 2021 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Caroline Means Bitterwolf has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Driven to serve as a teacher since coming of age, Dr. Bitterwolf earned a bachelor's degree from Centenary College of Louisiana in the late-1960s. Following this accomplishment, she earned a master's degree in mathematics education from the University of Maryland and gained valuable expertise in the field as a sixth-grade teacher in Annapolis, Maryland. Throughout the course of her career, Dr. Bitterwolf also served as an instructor for chemistry for elementary teachers at the University of Idaho and taught one semester of business mathematics at Anne Arundel Community College.

Having grown up in an education-focused town, Dr. Bitterwolf earned a Doctor of Philosophy from the University of Idaho in 1998 and expanded upon her skill set as an educator for the Moscow School District, from which she is now retired. In order to remain aware of changes in the field, she aligned herself with the National Education Association, the Maryland State Education Association, the Idaho Education Association, the Teachers Association of Anne Arundel County, the Moscow Education Association, the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics and the International Reading Association.

A national board certified educator through the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards, Dr. Bitterwolf also contributed during her spare time as a member of the Idaho State Professional Standards Commission and the local Rotary Club. Though her career has been filled with highlights, she is most proud to have been honored in Who's Who in 1994 and to have made a positive difference in the lives of her students. Looking toward the future, Dr. Bitterwolf intends to volunteer in her community and align herself with the Order of the Eastern Star, a Masonic organization.
