After learning how to draw blood in high school, Ms. Bryan became a phlebotomist and worked in a hospital laboratory while attending nursing school. However, upon completing two clinical nursing orientations, she realized she wanted to pursue a different line of work. Driven to remain in the field of medicine, she earned a Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology through Ball State University. Following this achievement, she became a Medical Technologist for Terre Haute MEDLAB, where she was instrumental in several validations and verifications within microbiology.
In 2010, Ms. Bryan joined Siemens Healthcare Diagnostics as a Technical Application Specialist and remained there for two years before becoming a Molecular Application Specialist with BD. During her six years with BD, she conducted comprehensive user training on the company's instrumented platforms, contributed to laboratory workflow productivity and other customer needs to maximize efficiency and efficacy of platform training, and actively engaged in regional sales and marketing programs. Backed by her considerable expertise, Ms. Bryan excels as a Field Applications Specialist with BioFire Diagnostics/Biomerieux, with which she is in charge of installing instruments, repairing and updating software, and providing training to customers, plus sales support and so much more.
Ms. Bryan stays abreast of changes in her field via her professional alignment with the American Society for Clinical Pathology. Although her career has been filled with highlights, she is most proud of receiving a Presidential Award for her team in 2020. Looking toward the future, Ms. Bryan intends to remain open to new opportunities, advance herself in the field and continue having a positive effect on others before her eventual retirement.
