An insurance agency executive, he began his career in 1971 as a business owner. From 1972 to 1981, Mr. Ryan found success as the vice president of Robert A. Ryan Insurance Agency in Cincinnati.
Aside from his primary work in insurance, Mr. Ryan has excelled as a freelance writer since 1990. From 1987 to 1989, he additionally served on the board of directors for the Cincinnati Estate Planning Council. The author of "Confidential for Students: The Ideal Summer Job," Mr. Ryan has been active as a member of the Society of Financial Service Professionals.
Mr. Ryan initially pursued an education at Xavier University in 1967, from which he graduated with a bachelor's degree, with honors. Soon thereafter, he obtained a master's degree from the University of Florida and a master's degree in financial services from American College. Civically, he has contributed to the board of directors for both the Charter Committee of Greater Cincinnati and Magnacare Health Plan. Since 1985, Mr. Ryan has further flourished as the president and founder of the Health Initiative.
