LEXINGTON, KY, September 20, 2021 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Angela C. Evans has been inducted into Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

After earning a bachelor's degree in social work from Clark Atlanta University and a Doctor of Jurisprudence from the University of Tennessee College of Law, Ms. Evans began her career as a staff attorney with Fayette County Legal Aid Inc. She subsequently worked as general counsel and elections administrator in the Kentucky Secretary of State's Office. Later, Ms. Evans served as an assistant attorney general in the Kentucky Attorney General's Office, and an associate attorney at McBrayer, McGinnis, Leslie & Kirkland PLLC.

Ms. Evans also served as the 6th District council member of the Lexington Fayette Urban County Government for six years and briefly operated out her own firm, Angela C. Evans PLLC. In 2021, she graduated with a Master of Public Policy from Princeton University.

As an accomplished professional, Ms. Evans accepted the Emerging Leader Award from Emerge America and the Trailblazer Award from Emerge Kentucky. Throughout her career, she has been incredibly grateful to receive two invitations to experts' meetings at the United Nations. Two years later, Ms. Evans was invited to help with the United Nations handbook, "Criminal Justice Handbook Series: State Regulation Concerning Civilian Private Security Services & Their Contributions to Crime Prevention & Community Safety." In the coming years, she hopes to expand her domestic and international presence in the fields of criminal justice reform and community safety.

Ms. Evans is a board member for the Kentucky Blood Center, and has previously served on several boards within the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government, including the Homelessness Prevention and Intervention Board and the Ethics Commission.
