Soon thereafter, she worked in a similar role for Laboratorio Santiago until 1990. Over the years, Ms. Mercado gained valuable expertise in the field as a supervisor of the Laboratorio Clinico Hospital, a general supervisor of Laboratorio Clinico Toledo and a medical technologist, technical supervisor and administrative assistant for Laboratorio Clinico Rolon.
Drawing upon 30 years of clinical laboratory experience and 25 years of experience in quality control, equipment maintenance, serology, chemistry and parasitology, Ms. Mercado currently excels as a medical technologist with Laboratorio Clinico 4 Calles as well as the owner and administrator of B.M. Laboratory Inc. With the organization, she handles a wide range of laboratory tests in the areas of bacteriology, hematology, chemistry and virology. Additionally, Ms. Mercado offers COVID testing and ensures the quality and integrity of the tests being administered.
Through B.M. Laboratory, Ms. Mercado contributes to her community by welcoming students in for clinical experience. Although her career has been filled with highlights, she is incredibly proud of working every single day to help others guarantee their health.
