Possessed of a lifelong passion for baking and cake decoration, Mr. Felton has established himself as the owner of Cakes by Howard LLC. In this role, he creates cakes of all flavors for any occasion, including weddings, birthday parties and special events. Mr. Felton began his career with the Internal Revenue Service in Covington, Kentucky, and later relocated to Atlanta, Georgia, where he excelled for more than two decades. In 2000 he was named employee of the year in the community service category.
Mr. Felton attributes his success as a baker to his grandmother and great-grandmother, who taught him everything he knows about baking, and much prayer. Throughout the span of his life, he has always appreciated the creative aspects of baking. Mr. Felton eventually felt compelled to make a business out of his passion for baking, and Cakes by Howard was founded in February of 1982.
Mr. Felton has maintained his memberships with the West College Hill Civics Association, the Association for the Improvement of Minorities and Blacks in Government. Throughout the course of his career, he has volunteered with Aids Volunteers Of Cincinnati (AVOC) STOP AIDS, Katherine Betts Foundation, and The Healing Center, a local food and clothing pantry. Additionally, Mr. Felton is the founder of the HIV/AIDS advocacy religious organization Heaven in View Outreach Ministry and is the Minister of Music for several local churches. He was awarded The 2020 Ida Clark Commitment To Excellence Award and numerous awards for his dedicated service in the religious community throughout his life.
