Joyce Timberlake Recognized by Marquis Who's Who for Entrepreneurship

Ms. Timberlake has found success as an art instructor and author of the "Happy Tree" book series

HAMPTON, VA, October 01, 2021 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Joyce Timberlake has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Ms. Timberlake is nationally renowned as an artist, author and instructor at the Timberlake Art Academy in Hampton. She has served her community in conservation programs, educating children about reforestation and the importance of trees, creating the Happy Tree character in 1965, featuring it in a series of children's books that include "Whoever Heard of a Purple Happy Tree?," published by Balboa Press in 2014.

Ms. Timberlake has been dedicated to inspire her readers to become confident in themselves and enjoy the outdoors by planting and caring for trees and foliage. Her career in art began when her children were young and she told them stories and produced artwork that accompanied her tales, which inspired her stories about the Happy Tree character.

Notably, Ms. Timberlake has been involved with three art-oriented television series, published in art magazines and worked as an art critic for several newspapers. In addition, she has excelled as an art auctioneer and coordinator of art shows on a national level, organizing art galleries and schools for investors. She is also affiliated with the Peninsula Arts Association in Long Beach, Washington, the Richmond Museum of Fine Arts and the Chrysler Museum of Art in Norfolk. Many of Ms. Timberlake's paintings are available from Fine Art America, a leading art marketplace. She was the manager of the Americana West in Washington, D.C. in 1989-1990.
