Prior to founding Central Athlete, Mr. O'Brien was active in various capacities, including the co-owner of Westlake CrossFit from 2009 to 2014.
In his current role, the majority of Mr. O'Brien's time is dedicated to interacting directly with local and international clients. His responsibilities include consulting, fitness program design, managerial duties, and assessments. Opening his business was not a challenge, but ensuring its continued growth and success has been. However, Central Athlete is set apart from the local competition due to its unique model where individuals are able to train with professional coaches that develop an individualized and comprehensive training and health program. Mr. O'Brien attributes his success to the fulfilling upbringing that his parents were able to give him and his inherently strong work ethic, having begun working at the age of 13. As an avid athlete, he enjoys white water rafting down Barton Creek when it floods, fishing and rock-climbing in his spare time. In the future, Mr. O'Brien intends to expand Central Athlete's facilities and raise more children with his loving wife Amanda.
