SAN JOSE, CA, October 08, 2021 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Elnaz Sarraf has been inducted into Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Ms. Sarraf, a former educator, co-founded her business as its chief executive officer alongside Ron Cheng in 2017. Her venture is the result of the ROYBI Robot, which is a small, hand-held robot for children that uses artificial intelligence to introduce them to technology, mathematics, science and various languages. Comprised of over 70 different categories, the robot sparks children's interest by telling stories and singing songs, while also promoting creative thinking and problem-solving skills. Involved in the initial design and development of the robot, Ms. Sarraf now oversees global operations, sales, marketing and the future growth of her company, which has since become incorporated in 2019.

Though she initially faced many challenges in finding support for her unique concept, Ms. Sarraf was confident that the ROYBI Robot could serve as an excellent source for children to learn and grow. Highly successful today, the robot has been featured in Forbes and Time magazine, as well as being awarded 2021 Smart Toy Award by the World Economic Forum. Looking toward the future, she aspires for her product to reach children living in more remote areas of the United States who have less access to a quality education. Likewise, she hopes to generate global relationships with various organizations, particularly in the government and educational sectors, to introduce her product into local curricula. Ms. Sarraf has notably donated ROYBI Robots to children of firefighters and to schools throughout Toronto and Ghana girls schools (via partnership with Literacy in Northern Ghana) to help children in need.

Ms. Sarraf began her career as an English as a second language tutor at West Valley College. She subsequently worked as a graphic designer at her alma mater, California State University-East Bay (CSU-East Bay), and later served as a creative director for E Design Group, as a UI designer and front-end developer, and in design and development for two other firms before becoming an entrepreneur. Additionally, Ms. Sarraf spent two years as an instructor at West Valley College Extension from 2013 to 2015.

A dedicate civic advocate, Ms. Sarraf recently joined the Forbes Technology Council as an official member, the World Business Angels Investment Forum as a senator and U.S. representative, and the Consumer Technology Association's small business council as a board member in 2020. She also believes in giving back to the community by sharing, mentoring and coaching entrepreneurs in their journey as well as volunteering in nonprofit organizations such as the Second Harvest Food Bank in Santa Clara.

Ms. Sarraf received an associate's degree in graphic design at Shariati University in 2004 and a Bachelor of Arts at CSU-East Bay in 2012. She also completed coursework in software engineering at the Iran University of Science and Technology between 2006 and 2007, as well as in arts and business at West Valley College between 2007 and 2010. Receiving numerous accolades for her subsequent success, Ms. Sarraf was recently listed among Seven Women to Watch in 2021 by Business Insider in 2020. She was also named a Woman of Influence by Silicon Valley Business Journal in 2017, received the Tech for Good Winner Award from Pluralsight in 2019 and a First Place Award at the Xiaomi AI Competition Silicon Valley in Xiaomi for the ROYBI Robot in 2019. Most notably, she was recognized as the Female Entrepreneur of the Year at the Women World Awards in 2017.
