Subsequently, she gained valuable expertise in the field as a paralegal with Robert A. Indresano and Peter J. Martino Jr. Additionally, she has been active as a notary since 2008. After working as a real estate paralegal for many years, Ms. Alvarez has found success with The Neighborhood Developers, a nonprofit organization that offers affordable housing for Chelsea and Revere residents, as well as for veterans and those from low-income areas.
As resident services coordinator, Ms. Alvarez helps residents acquire state benefits and financial assistance while supporting them in their enrollment process for any other resources they might need. She also strives to maintain housing stability for her residents through these trying times. In her position, she also aims to inspire other residents in the community. Ms. Alvarez has been employed at HarborCOV and the Volunteers of America in Boston. Her career in nonprofit work has been a blessing to all of the residents in the community.
Although her career has been filled with highlights, Ms. Alvarez is incredibly proud of being able to help families and individuals in need. Within the coming years, she aims to travel, mentor and establish relationships with other communities outside of Chelsea, Revere and Everett. Ultimately, Ms. Alvarez hopes to help as many people as she can by informing them of the resources available to them within their communities.
