CAMBRIDGE, MA, February 28, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Kathleen Flynn McCarthy has been included in Marquis Who's Who. Upon earning a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Nursing from Villa Maria College (now Gannon University) in 1969, Ms. McCarthy gained valuable expertise in the field through various and rewarding medical-surgical nursing positions, including cardiac and intensive care positions. During the late 1990's, she worked as a community health nurse with CareGroup Parmenter Home Care & Hospice, the homecare department of Mount Auburn Hospital. Subsequently, she furthered her medical knowledge with a Master of Science degree, graduating from State University of New York at Stony Brook in 1996.

In 2007, Ms. McCarthy started working for New England Geriatrics, which was initially a counselling service which expanded its psychiatric services to multiple nursing homes in the Massachusetts area. In this position, Ms. McCarthy had found her most rewarding role, as a geriatric psychiatric Nurse Practitioner.

In a career that has been full of rewarding experiences, Mc McCarthy is incredibly proud of the work she has done with so many wonderful patients and feels honored to have worked with so many devoted health care workers along the way.

Currently, Ms. McCarthy intends to continue in the field of geriatric medicine, and is currently seeking a per diem or a volunteer position in which she can use her knowledge and skills. Ms. McCarthy intends to always keep current in the field of Dementia and Geriatric Medicine.
