SYRACUSE, UT, October 12, 2021 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Ramesh J. Wettasinghe, MA, has been inducted into Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Mr. Wettasinghe established Oasis Montessori Schools in Syracuse, Utah, in 2014. The school emerged as the result of his former success as the founder of OASIS Education Center and Oasis Computers in Sri Lanka in 1997, which grew from one to 16 branches before he relocated to the U.S.
Mr. Wettasinghe's leadership led Oasis Montessori Schools to win many accolades, including becoming the only High – Quality Preschool in the Davis County which was awarded by the Utah Department of Education and winning the most popular preschool award given by the Syracuse City Magazine poll.
Mr. Wettasinghe is also the founder of OasisUSA, a company that manufactures popular digital gadgets, office products, pet products, fashion wear and household products. OasisUSA has applied and is waiting for patent licenses for a couple of innovative products it has invented. He hopes to be concentrating more on OasisUSA in the coming years and planning to expand the business outside Utah. Serving his community through involvement in various civic organizations and activities, Mr. Wettasinghe recently founded "They need your Help" Children Foundation, a non-profit organization. Mr. Wettasinghe's intention is to expand his non-profit organization internationally and focus more on helping disadvantaged children in South Asia, including Sri Lanka where he was born and raised.
Mr. Wettasinghe completed his bachelor's degree in University of Colombo Sri Lanka and obtained a Master of Arts in International Relations at Lincoln University USA. Also, Mr. Wettasinghe earned an Associate of Science in Telecommunications and fiber optics at Heald College in San Francisco. He serves on the advisory committee of the Montessori Association of Utah. He was recognized as one of the 2021 Top one hundred Visionaries in Education by the Global Forum for Education and learning held in Las Vegs and was invited as a guest speaker for the event as well. Mr Wettasinghe previously accepted a High-Quality Pre-school award from the state of Utah in 2018. Mr. Wettasinghe also has been nominated for outstanding Leadership Award by Education 2.0 which will be held in Dubai in March 2022.
