Michael is an internationally recognized Marketing, Communications, Events and Branding expert with 30+ years of experience at senior level positions with three technology industry giants – AT&T, BellSouth and France Telecom. He has created and led highly effective programs world-wide that have educated and motivated teams to achieve their goals while enhancing customer relationships and loyalty.
As a principal in the Marketing organizations of major corporations, Michael has been responsible for the execution of all tactical and event marketing, brand, and communications functions. Michael has created and lead programs that have educated, trained, and motivated sales and support teams. His responsibilities have also included several key business operations, including oversight of business and sales opportunity reviews as well as customer satisfaction and performance reporting.
Michael has won numerous awards in recognition of his work, including the prestigious Telly and Site awards for marketing and business excellence. He earned his Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Samford University, where he was recognized as the Samford Alumni of the Year for 2020 as well as the Brock School of Business Outstanding Alumni of the Year Award recipient for 1994 and is presently Chairman of the Samford Brock School of Business Executive Advisory Board. He has also earned degrees in Business Administration & Management from Limestone College and in History from The Citadel, the Military College of South Carolina. Michael is presently Vice President and a board member of the Atlanta Citadel Club, one of The Citadel's largest alumni organizations, which was recognized as The Citadel Alumni Association's Club of the Year for 2017.
Over the past several years, Michael has been an Area Director for Christ Led Communities (CLC) a men's faith-based leadership training organization (https://clchq.org/).
Over the past 20+ years, Michael has been personally active in philanthropic and community activities, overseeing several corporate events with Hands on Atlanta, New Orleans and Orlando as well as serving in leadership roles with Zoo Atlanta and the Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Atlanta and has been on several global mission trips in developing countries as well as distressed areas in the world.
Michael is married with three children (two boys and one girl) and five grandchildren (two boys and three girls) and resides in Marietta, Georgia, just north of Atlanta.
