Moreover, she has been involved in numerous civic duties, including having volunteered for the American Diabetes Association, Planned Parenthood Advocates of Wisconsin and multiple state representatives. Since 1996, Ms. Whitney has been recruited to the state coordinating committee for the State Employees Combined Campaign in Madison.
For her extensive contributions, Ms. Whitney has been presented with the Bob Alesch Award, the Top Fundraiser Award, the Know Your Wisconsin State Journal Award, the Backyard Hero Award, the Community Volunteer Award and several other notable accolades. She obtained a bachelor's degree in Spanish and political science from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, cum laude, in 1990.
