Since 2020, Ms. García has worked as the Executive Director of Cuddy & McCarthy LLP, one of New Mexico's oldest and leading law firms. With more than 27 years of legal experience, her position as the Executive Director of the aforementioned law firm is one of the most crucial roles in the firm from a strategic and operational perspective. In this position, Ms. García manages the operations of the law office to function smoothly and economically and provides leadership, vision and innovation to the position. Among many hats she wears in the firm, Ms. García directs all management functions, daily operations, and oversees a team of 50 members. Ms. García prides herself on being an influential cheerleader of the Cuddy & McCarthy Family. Ms. García plays a direct role in the firm's growth and accounting by preparing and monitoring annual expenses, social and capital budgeting, and forecasting to achieve operating and financial objections. Finally, Ms. García plays an important role in developing innovative strategies for firm growth through her marketing efforts.
Prior to her recruitment at Cuddy & McCarthy, Ms. García established her administrative expertise at several prominent law firms in her home state of New Mexico. She currently serves on the board of directors of the New Mexico Chapter of the Association of Legal Administrators, and is their previous President. A lifelong animal lover, Ms. García also maintains involvement as the President of Wilderwood Equine Therapy and Rescue, which provides an array of equine assisted programs designed for autistic adults and children to strengthen authentic self-perception, self-possibility, and self-realization through mind/body interoceptive and somatic understanding.
In recognition of her success in a myriad of leadership positions, Albuquerque Business First magazine honored Ms. García as a recipient of its prestigious 2020 Women of Influence award. Ms. García also helped lead the Democratic Party of Bernalillo County, as one of their previous vice-chairs, which has helped strengthen her love for her community and home. She attributes much of her career success to her diligent work ethic, which previously enabled her to begin her legal career at the age of 14, while working for her Uncle, retired Honorable John Julio Romero, Jr., while he was in private practice. Ms. García stated, "I would not be the person I am today without the guidance, leadership, love and support of my amazing Uncle John; everyone deserves an 'Uncle John' in their life!" In the coming years, Ms. García hopes to deepen her contributions to her local community, while developing a new curriculum for law students that introduces them to the essential systems and processes of a modern law firm.
