Well-regarded in his field, Dr. Santiago has earned distinction as the medical director of HCA Healthcare, an acute rehabilitation hospital. In this capacity, he is responsible for many aspects of hospital management, in addition to caring for patients. He also serves as a medical doctor on behalf of Physicians at Home. Having worked at a hospital in South Carolina for several years, Dr. Santiago developed a passion for treating elderly patients, particularly ones recovering from strokes or trauma, and contributed his efforts to multiple skilled nursing facilities in South Carolina.

In order to prepare for his impressive career, Dr. Santiago pursued an education at the Ponce Health Sciences University in Puerto Rico, where he graduated with a Doctor of Medicine in 1999. He then completed a residency at the Baystate Medical Center of Tufts University in 2002. Licensed to practice medicine in the state of South Carolina since 2012, Dr. Santiago is also certified in internal medicine through the American Board of Internal Medicine.

Beyond his primary endeavors, Dr. Santiago maintains his affiliation with such organizations as the American Medical Directors Association and the March of Dimes, of which he is a board member. Among his numerous achievements, he is proud to have built the largest private medical group in his region. Looking toward the future, Dr. Santiago hopes to expand his practice so that he and his team can serve patients in other regions.
