She is also a member of the Michigan Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and most recently founded the Minority Education Freedom Foundation to help Hispanic immigrants and minorities in Michigan.
In 2001, Ms. Ospina-Herbstreith proudly earned a bachelor's degree in journalism and communications from the Universidad de La Sabana in Colombia.
