BIRMINGHAM, AL, October 26, 2021 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Robert M. Lynn has been inducted into Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

In his youth, Mr. Lynn decided that he wanted to pursue a career in culinary arts, having created a mock business plan for a restaurant by the age of 10. Four years later, he volunteered to handle the cooking duties for his entire family. Mr. Lynn subsequently earned a degree in hospitality administration and management from the University of Alabama and a degree in classic French cuisine from the International Culinary Center.
Mr. Lynn began his career as the director of food and beverages and executive chef at PCH Hotels and Resorts. Following these positions, he served as the executive chef of several restaurants at the University of Alabama, Troy University, Emory University and Birmingham Southern College. Mr. Lynn has further flourished as the owner and executive chef of Roots and Revelry.

Throughout his career, Mr. Lynn has garnered inspiration from "Down and Out in Paris and London" by George Orwell, a book about the author's time working in kitchens throughout Europe. As a restaurant owner, he is responsible for training and hiring staff, ordering and preparing food, monitoring the cleanliness and sanitization of the kitchen and dining room, and meeting with customers and clients for event coordination. Likewise, he writes menus, develops recipes and sources ingredients from local farmer's markets. At his restaurant, Mr. Lynn's most popular dish is the rabbit and pappardelle pasta.

As a respected voice in his field, Mr. Lynn penned an article on local and sustainable organic farms, which was featured in Bravo Magazine. He also hosts a YouTube show, "Cooking Trojan Style." In addition, he has been highlighted in Selma Magazine and Triple A Magazine. Mr. Lynn has attributed his professional success to his hard work, passion and curiosity.

For his exceptional efforts over the years, Mr. Lynn was recognized for the Best Presentation by Taste of East Alabama. His restaurant has been likewise honored for the Best Brunch in Birmingham and the Best Cocktail during Birmingham Restaurant Week. Looking toward the future, Mr. Lynn hopes to establish an additional restaurant in order to further expand the scope of his business.
