With more than a decade of professional excellence to his credit, Mr. Mehta has been designated as a substitute teacher of Mesa Public Schools since 2019. From 2010 to 2013, he found success as a teacher of mathematics of Anand Niketan Eklavya Model Residential Middle School in India for tribal students, after working as a substitute teacher of mathematics in Florida for a year, as well as a teacher of the Sumter School District in South Carolina. Previously a teacher in Delby, Connecticut, Mr. Mehta flourished as a teacher of Dunbar Middle School in Bridgeport from 2003 until 2007.
In order to prepare for his professional path, Mr. Mehta, who immigrated to the United States from India in 1967, obtained a Bachelor of Science in engineering in India. He continued his education at the Worcester Polytechnic Institute, where he graduated with a Master of Science in mechanical engineering in 1970. Mr. Mehta later earned a Master of Science in management from the Hartford Graduate Center of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in 2000.
Certified in teaching mathematics and technology education, Mr. Mehta is a member of NCTM (National Council of Teachers of Mathematics) and ITEEA (International Technology and Engineering Educators Association). Beyond his primary endeavors, he was the director of engineering of the Wiremold Company, and a mechanical engineer of Rodney Hunt in Orange, Massachusetts. Looking toward the future, Mr. Mehta intends to continue teaching, in addition to taking on consulting work.
