Mrs. Brumfield wishes to improve the health of her fellow Mississippians by reducing disparity.
BRANDON, MS, October 28, 2021 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Jennifer K. Brumfield, RN, CCRC, MHS, has been included in Marquis Who's Who. Mrs. Brumfield has accrued more than 13 years of excellence in the field of nursing. As the current director of population health at United Healthcare, she develops tools, projects, programs and policies to reduce the social determinants of health barriers for the state of Mississippi. In the past, Mrs. Brumfield served as a coordinator for hospital medicine for the University of Mississippi Medical Center.
Prior to embarking upon her professional journey, Mrs. Brumfield initially obtained a Bachelor of Science in biology. However, she decided that she was needed for something else important in her life, and realized that she enjoyed taking care of people. In 2011, she enrolled at the University of Mississippi Medical Center, from which she earned a Master of Health Sciences. Mrs. Brumfield is presently pursuing her doctorate in nursing from the University of Mississippi Medical Center.
To remain aware of developments affecting her field, Mrs. Brumfield has maintained her professional affiliation with a number of organizations, including the Association of Clinical Research Professionals, the Mississippi Nurses Association and the American Nurses Association. A devoted volunteer within her local community, she is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc. and the Junior League of Jackson, Mississippi. In the future, Mrs. Brumfield wishes to complete her degree and improve the health of her fellow Mississippians by reducing disparity, as she hopes to be able to improve health equity.
