Marquis Who's Who Honors Matthew A. Pawlikowski for Success in Biological Science

Mr. Pawlikowski celebrates 20 years as laboratory technologist at Seattle Cancer Care Alliance

    SHORELINE, WA, November 03, 2021 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Matthew A. Pawlikowski has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

For the past 20 years, Mr. Pawlikowski has been affiliated with the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance (SCCA) in Seattle as a clinical laboratory technologist. In this capacity, he works in the pharmacokinetics laboratory and focuses much of his efforts on personalized medicine and therapeutic drug monitoring. He also assists oncologists in determining the correct dosage for their patients' chemotherapy treatment. Despite working behind the scenes, Mr. Pawlikowski takes great pride in contributing to the improvement of the quality of life for potential and current cancer patients.

Notably, the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance is one of the nation's top cancer centers in the U.S., which provides cancer treatment, supportive care services, personalized treatment and groundbreaking clinical trials. Located in the greater Seattle area, the Alliance encompasses some of the top research teams and cancer treatment specialists in their field.

Inclined to study biological science after high school, Mr. Pawlikowski received a Bachelor of Science in biology and chemistry, cum laude, at Daemen College in 1993. He then went on for a Master of Arts in biology at Buffalo State College, a part of the State University of New York system, graduating in 1999. This master's thesis work was immunology-parasitology based. Additionally, Mr. Pawlikowski holds certification through the American Society for Clinical Pathology in chemistry. Mr. Pawlikowski initially spent two previous years as a teaching assistant in the cell biology laboratories at his alma mater in Buffalo and as a chemist at a nearby environmental testing laboratory in western New York.

To remain aware of developments in the field, Mr. Pawlikowski maintains his affiliation with the American Society for Clinical Pathology. Additionally, he participates in monthly journal club sessions at the SCCA Pharmacokinetics Laboratory under the guidance of the Scientific Director.
