BELDEN, MS, November 04, 2021 /24-7PressRelease/ -- James "Jamie" E. Richey III has been included in Marquis Who's Who. Mr. Richey graduated high school with honors and received a full scholarship to several universities. But life had other plans for him.
The sudden and tragic death of his father shook him to the core and he dropped out of college to try and deal with the trauma of what had happened.
During this process, he started using substances to numb the emotional pain. This spiraled into substance use dependency for many years.
Things came to a head on June 6, 2016 when in desperation, Mr. Richey tried to take his own life by shooting himself in the chest.
Miraculously, he survived his harrowing ordeal, and he began his journey towards recovery.
He began working in the substance abuse treatment field at Extra Mile recovery as a behavioral health technician. From there he worked his way up through the company from admissions to business development.
He then helped to found RediMere Recovery and eventually became the Public Relations Manager at Magnolia Ranch Recovery.
Mr. Richey is also a public speaker, sharing his story of experience, strength, and hope at major substance abuse and suicide conferences as well as many universities throughout the country.
From the brink of death, to high success-Mr. Richey's story is one of dedication, hard work, passion, and ultimately perseverance. He overcame all of the odds to not only prove himself successful in his personal life, but to help save countless lives in the process.
