Ms. Ramone has been lauded as a wonderful local business as the owner of Much A Brew About Something in Clanton. Founded in 2020, her idea for the establishment came after visiting Chilton County several times and having a hard time finding a coffee shop anywhere nearby. A native of Sacramento, California, her trips were inspired by her mom, who moved back home to live on her family property.
Since its opening, Much A Brew has drawn attention from many happy locals, becoming a huge success almost instantly. Selling quality espresso and specialized drinks, from mochas, cappuccinos and Frappuccinos, to flavored lattes, smoothies and a select list of flavored teas, Ms. Ramone's coffee shop also makes numerous fan favorites like "The Dirty Panda," which is a cookies-and-cream inspired drink topped with caramel, "The Health Crunch" and "The Peppermint White Mocha." Changing the coffee selection a few times a month to keep her menu interesting, her patrons will also find an assortment of delicious scones from Highland Gourmet and New York-style bagels from Crestline Bagels.
When she began designing her coffee shop, Ms. Ramone incorporated a lot of old wood and other materials that she acquired from her grandparents' house before it was torn down. You can see reflections of that home build right into the coffee bar where her many customers frequent. A wonderful feeling to be surrounded by so many memories of her childhood, it is equally inspiring to be embraced by southern hospitality throughout her work.
Creating a unique partnership with Vaneli's Handcrafted Coffee in California, Ms. Ramone notably teamed up with the aforementioned company before she left for Alabama. Vaneli's president and chief executive officer even took a trip to her shop to train her on her new equipment and operate as the newest barista in town. Honored as 2020 New Business of the Year by The Chilton Chamber of Commerce, Much A Brew About Something was also featured on the cover of Progress Magazine.
