Prior to her career as a Mortgage Lender, Ms. Franklin was active as an electronics technician with the U.S. Navy for 24 years; (she was active for 11 years and in the reserves for 13 years). With a storied background in military service, she was afforded the opportunity to leverage her connections in order to find success within the field of mortgage lending. Since 2019, she has established herself as a sales manager at Planet Home Lending LLC.
As a sales manager, Ms. Franklin specializes in a gamut of different loans. From VA, FHA and Conventional mortgages, to securing home loans for first-time home buyers and assisting real estate investors with multiple properties. In addition, she is responsible for assembling a team of mortgage sales consultants as well as providing training, coaching and development to the mortgage team, real estate agents, lenders and clients. Incredibly proud of the team that she has built, Ms. Franklin attributes her success to her customer-centric nature, which allows her to build personal relationships with her clients.
In addition to her professional career, Ms. Franklin was recently elected to the Virginia Beach School Board for a 4-year term. In her free time, she regularly supports her local charities and teaches fitness classes in her community. Prior leadership roles include serving as the President and a board director of the Tidewater Mortgage Banking Association and actively working with the local PTSAs, serving as President of her local high school PTSA in her child's final years in K-12 education.
Ms. Franklin was recognized as a 5-Star Mortgage Professional as well as one of the Best Military Originators of 2020 by National Mortgage Professional Magazine. Notably, she hopes to use her current position as an advocate for battered and abused women and those in need. She also credits her accomplishments to her perseverance, her ability to focus on goals and her willingness to accept help from others. Looking toward the future, Ms. Franklin hopes to continue finding success in her field while expanding the scope of Planet Home Lending LLC.
