They have grown the business to not only a larger service area of both commercial and residential plumbing, but also grown with the addition of multiple employees.
As the President of Bulldog Plumbing Inc., Mrs. Saam is afforded the opportunity to build relationships with local businesses and community members. Her passion for assisting local small businesses was shaped out of her desire to make her own mark on the local community.
Mrs. Saam subsequently served as an alderman on the Batavia City Council from 2012 to 2015. She later excelled as the Executive Director of Batavia MainStreet from 2015 to 2018. Providing her with an opportunity to revitalize downtown Batavia, this position cemented Mrs. Saam's place in the community as an advocate for, and supporter of, small businesses.
Notably, Mrs. Saam has contributed her expertise to the Aurora Area Convention and Visitors Bureau, the Batavia Chamber of Commerce and the Shaw Media Illinois Community Advisory Board. Additionally, she was appointed to the posts of Secretary of the Kiwanis Club of Batavia and Commissioner of the Historic Preservation Commission of the city of Batavia. She is also active as a volunteer for local organizations including the Batavia Interfaith Food Pantry and Clothes Closet, the Cyclones Amateur Hockey Association, and the Batavia Boardwalk Shops. Along with additional community members, Ms. Saam revitalized the Batavia Boardwalk area by building tiny shops for local vendors to display their goods and services as well as grow their business through an incubator program.
Mrs. Saam's accolades include the Donna Dallesasse Award, the 30 Under 30 Award from the Batavia and St. Charles Chambers of Commerce and the Shaw Media Women of Distinction Award. Moreover, she is proud to have been recognized by the Batavia School District Hall of Honor. Looking forward, Mrs. Saam plans to pave the way for further local economic development.
