Mr. Bindra was one of the lead architects and drafters of an amendment to the Illinois Freedom to Work Act that significantly reformed how non-compete and non-solicit agreements are litigated in the State of Illinois. He testified in support of the law and helped bring together a bipartisan coalition of support from the Illinois Chamber of Commerce, the AFL-CIO and other union groups, the Attorney General's Office, and NELA-IL. As a result, the amendment passed with unanimous support in the Illinois legislature in 2021. The new law will improve employee mobility while providing clarity for businesses and workers.
Prior to embarking on his professional path, Mr. Bindra pursued an education at the James Madison College of Michigan State University, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in international relations in 2009 and was a member of the nationally ranked debate team. Moreover, he completed an internship at the office of Senator Debbie Stabenow in 2008 and worked for Senator Stabenow as a student assistant. Following these achievements, Mr. Bindra continued his academic pursuits at DePaul University College of Law, where he graduated with a certificate in business law in 2012.
