CLARK, NJ, November 23, 2021 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Sister Jacquelyn Balasia has been inducted into Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Sister Jacquelyn, the Principal at Mother Seton Regional High School in Clark, New Jersey, oversees operations for the all-girls Catholic high school as part of the Archdiocese of Newark. Responsible for the supervision of all faculty members, curriculum scheduling and student activities, she also heads meetings and all communication efforts with faculty members and parents, and sets time aside to complete daily office procedures. Additionally, Sister Jacquelyn ensures that her faculty members are top notch and that the school's academics are always in good standing.

Compelled by her Christian faith to work in education, Sister Jacquelyn began her career at Mother Seton as an instructor and head of the mathematics, related arts and sciences departments. She was subsequently promoted to serve as the Assistant Principal before reaching the pinnacle of her career as Principal. During her tenure on campus, she was also recognized as an award-winning varsity bowling coach. Sister Jacquelyn plans to remain in her current position for at least another five years, while guiding students toward success in academics, personal growth and service. She exhorts her graduates "to make a difference in our world." Each year the senior class notably secures millions of dollars in college academic scholarships.

Outside of her primary career endeavors, Sister Jacquelyn has been active with several nonprofit, educational and other local organizations that have had an impact on the lives of local community members. She has been a member of Camp Fatima in New Jersey and is a past President of First Friends of New Jersey and a past Vice President of the University of Saint Elizabeth Alumnae/i Association. She currently serves on the board of Trinitas Regional Medical Center in Elizabeth, New Jersey, which is recognized as a Catholic teaching hospital. It is sponsored by the Sisters of Charity of Saint Elizabeth in partnership with Elizabethtown Healthcare Foundation.

Sister Jacquelyn received a Bachelor of Arts at the University of Saint Elizabeth in 1972 and a Master of Science in mathematics at Rutgers College in 1973. She later attained a Master of Arts in administration and supervision at Boston College in 1990. Sister Jacquelyn is a member of Sisters of Charity of Saint Elizabeth, Convent Station, New Jersey. She is also aligned as a member of the National Catholic Educational Association in support of her academic career.

Recognizing her expertise in the field, Sister Jacquelyn was named as an Outstanding Educator of the Year by the Archdiocese of Newark in 1992. She was inducted into the Mother Seton Regional High School Hall of Fame in 2014 and in 2017 she received the Catholic School Executive Leadership Award from Fordham University. Acknowledging her coaching commitments, she was recognized as the Coach of the Year at the State Sectional Championship in 1995 and, in the spring of 2005, as the first Sister of Charity to be named to the New Jersey Coaches Hall of Fame. In 2006, Sister Jacquelyn received three additional awards when she was named as the Female Coach of the Year by Home News Tribune, the Coach of the Year by GMC's Blue Division and the Bowling Coach of the Year by the Star Ledger newspaper.
