After completing one year of college, in which he studied construction management at the University of Cincinnati, Mr. Griffin obtained a co-op job one summer for a fire sprinkler company, through which he found his passion. Between 1988 and 1998, he excelled as a foreman of Eckert Fire Protection, where he supervised fire sprinkler technicians, performed tests and inspections to ensure local certification requirements are met, and aided in reviewing project drawings and bid specifications.
From there, Mr. Griffin worked as a field superintendent with Cincy Fire Protection and Automatic Fire Systems, where he built upon his expertise in staffing management, scheduling, safety coordination and more. More recently, he gained valuable expertise as a foreman of Coastal Pipe & Fire Solution and Dorn Fire Protection, and as a superintendent with TP Mechanical. Backed by his considerable expertise, he has excelled today as owner of Griffin Fire & Pipe since 2018, where he specializes in fire sprinklers, maintenance, fire pumps and installations.
An expert in his field, Mr. Griffin completed an apprenticeship program through the American Fire Sprinkler Association. To remain abreast of changes in the field, he aligns himself with the Better Business Bureau and the American Building Contractors. For his professional achievements, he was named Businessman of the Month in Forest Park, Ohio, in 2021. Although his career has been filled with highlights, he is most proud of his current endeavor, Griffin Fire & Pipe. Looking forward, Mr. Griffin aims to expand the company and establish his own fire sprinkler apprenticeship program.
