Since 2019, she has developed strategies for knowledge management and long-term content governance for various stakeholders, created and overseen corporate governance processes for contractor management and supplier screening program and utilized training analytics, competency verification metrics and best practices to evaluate learning effectiveness. Prior to obtaining her current role, Mrs. Lawson worked as an HSE Senior Manager within CBRE responsible for the development, implementation and management of corporate health and safety initiatives designed to drive program consistency and effectiveness for a client organization with 15,000+ employees across 120+ locations in the U.S. and Canada.
Mrs. Lawson has worked for leading insurance carriers as a Senior Risk Management Consultant including Chubb, The Hartford, and Amerisure Mutual Insurance Company. During the earlier stages of her career, Mrs. Lawson gained valuable expertise in safety and risk management with such companies as Marsh, WellStar Cobb Hospital and Gevity HR Inc. Before embarking on her professional journey, she earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Risk Management & Insurance from Georgia State University's J. Mack Robinson College of Business. Mrs. Lawson holds multiple industry certifications including Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Associate in Risk Management (ARM) and Situational Awareness Specialist (SAS). In addition, she is an Authorized OSHA Outreach Trainer for both General Industry and Construction. She was awarded the Q3 2021 Spirit of Excellence Award at CBRE recognizing her hard work and continued commitment to enabling and ensuring client success.
Driven to remain aware of changes in the field, Mrs. Lawson aligns herself with the American Society of Safety Professionals. Outside of her work, she contributes to her community as an executive board member of the local high school board foundation and as an advisor for her local hospital. Among her career accomplishments, Mrs. Lawson is most proud to have learned how to make education more enjoyable for her workshop participants.
In the coming years, Mrs. Lawson aspires to continue globalizing and aligning the company's programs in a directorial role as part of the CBRE EMPOWER Program for Future Leaders. On a more personal level, she would also like to broaden the reach and engagement of her very own faith-based Christian talk radio show, Faith 4 The Real™, of which she is the host.
Mrs. Lawson is a native of Philadelphia, PA. She lives in Atlanta, GA where she resides with her husband, 2 beautiful daughters and their 2 dogs. Mrs. Lawson is a member of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. She enjoys baking, exercising, and traveling.
