GREENSBORO, NC, November 29, 2021 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Alyce L. Bitticks has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Upon completing a bachelor's degree in social work and a master's degree in counseling and guidance from the University of North Carolina, Greensboro, Ms. Bitticks began as a counselor in 1983 serving the community until 2021. Over the years, she received her state license as a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (formerly LPC) and a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Supervisor. She was approved as an expert witness in court for sexual abuse in children, sexual assault and domestic violence. She has presented, both at the state and national level, on the effects of trauma, interpersonal violence, child abuse, sexual assault, and foster care/adoption. She has written curriculums for training therapists and advocates in cultural diversity and domestic violence. Since her retirement, Ms. Bitticks has continued her work as a clinical supervisor and mental health consultant in the field.

Ms. Bitticks is also a Nationally Certified Counselor and an Approved Clinical Supervisor. Although her career has been filled with highlights, she is most proud of developing a program, titled the Adoption Alliance, where she and her team worked with children who were moving from foster care to adoption or foster care to adulthood. She pursued this venture for nearly 10 years.

Within the coming years, Ms. Bitticks aims to continue mentoring others in the field of counseling. She has three daughters: one works in crime scene investigations, one works in finance and is an accomplished artist and her youngest works as a massage therapist and yoga instructor.
