Dustin Gooden Celebrated for Honorable Contributions to the United States Air Force

    ALTUS, OK, December 02, 2021 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Dustin Gooden has been included in Marquis Who's Who. A proud member of the U.S. Air Force, Mr. Gooden serves as operations flight commander at Altus Air Force Base. Additionally, he functions as a senior United States engineering staff officer and peacekeeper for the United Nations Mission in South Sudan. In these roles, he is responsible for operations, maintenance and repair of infrastructure, including 347 facilities, eight thousand acres of real estate, three runways, a vehicle fleet, and a material warehouse. Mr. Gooden is also responsible for coordination with the engineering flights, fire and emergency services flights, installation management, and emergency management flights.

Having begun his service with the military in 2012, Mr. Gooden has held multiple civil engineer positions and maintained base involvement as the president of the Scott Air Force Base Company Grade Officer's Council. Mr. Gooden is also the co-author of "Conducting Root Cause Analysis for Delays in U.S. Air Force Construction Project Funding Milestones" and "United States Air Force Unaccompanied Housing Divestiture: An Economic Analysis." Though he has led a decorated career, he is most proud to have built a soccer field and helped make a difference for local citizens while stationed in South Sudan.

Eminently qualified in his field, Mr. Gooden is licensed as a professional engineer and certified project management professional. He obtained a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering from the U.S. Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs in 2012. Thereafter, Mr. Gooden earned a Master of Business Administration from the W.P. Carey School of Business and a Master of Science in engineering management from the U.S. Air Force Institute of Technology.

Mr. Gooden has earned a multitude of accolades for his contributions, including being named as the Officer of the Quarter numerous times throughout his career. Notably, he was recognized as Top 10 Federal Finalist and Air Force Runner-up for the 2018 Federal Engineer of the Year, Air Mobility Command's 2018 Company Grade Officer of the Year, Air Education and Training Command's 2019 Company Grade Officer of the Year, Air Force's 2019 Civil Engineer Company Grade Officer of the Year, the 2020 Air Force Association State of Oklahoma Company Grade Officer of the Year, Air Force Nominee for the 72nd Arthur S. Flemming award, and UNMISS Force Commander's Commendation.
