Established in 2017, he utilize more than 30 years of expertise with the aforementioned business. His portfolio of black, greyscale and full color works of art include both traditional and contemporary designs, ranging from tribal and Polynesian pieces to animal portraits, among myriad additional options. He also specializes in cover-ups, as well as mastectomy cosmetic tattooing. Working alongside other tattoo artists who focus mainly on black and grey tattoo artwork, traditional styles and lettering, Hills Country Arts, Piercings and Tattoos also employs his wife, Jennifer Berrios, a body piercing expert who can accommodate piercings for both children and adults.
Noted as the inventor of the Junior Inkster Tattoo drawing set, Mr. Berrios has been praised in a number of local publications, including the Dripping Springs Century News. Beyond his primary professional responsibilities, he enjoys both songwriting and singing karaoke. Hills Country Arts, Piercing and Tattoos is also affiliated with the Better Business Bureau. Mr. Berrios is incredibly proud of his efforts as a dedicated husband and father to two wonderful daughters, Amber and Jade.
Born in Connecticut, Mr. Berrios pursued coursework in chemistry at Southern Connecticut State University in 1998. Likewise, he has been certified as a tungsten inert gas welder. He was initially drawn to the visual arts at the age of four, though he eventually became devoted to his creative expression after it became an outlet for his grief following the passing of his first wife in his early 20s. Moreover, Mr. Berrios has contributed to his country as a medic and a hospital corpsman in the second marine division of the U.S. Marine Corps during Operation Desert Storm, after which time he received an honorable discharge.
Determined to serve as a blessing to the world, Mr. Berrios attributes his success to approaching his work with a sense of purpose. Having established five studios throughout his career, he recalls having to relocate from Florida to Texas after Hurricane Irma, a transition in which he had to reinvent himself and develop a new base of clients with local residents. He is proud to have adopted his pen name, "Seize Medallion," while painting a mural on a church wall. Grateful for the opportunity to operate his own business, Mr. Berrios hopes to continue growing upon his clientele and expand his services by teaching tattooing to local artists in the coming years.
