Wayne is a native of southern Indiana. He served in the United States Marine Corps during Viet Nam and in the Georgia Guard as the G-4 Logistics officer and retired as a Lt. Colonel.
During the 1990s, he was a pilot and was an active flight instructor holding certificates as a CFII, MEI, AGI, IGI and as an airline transport pilot. He flew for an international charter company and has flown all over the world. In 2003, Captain Wayne earned his USCG 100-ton master license and became a US Merchant Marine Officer.
Captain Wayne is accustomed to multitasking with many people to achieve a common goal in high stress environments. He has managed corporate-owned subdivision developments and enjoyed the challenges of complex real estate transactions. In 2004, he was the recipient of the Platinum award from the Franklin Gulf County Realtors Association.
In 2004-2005 Captain Wayne produced and hosted a national, 30-minute real estate TV show each week that showcased exceptional homes and properties in the Florida panhandle. Unfortunately, because of market conditions at the time, it was cancelled indefinitely.
Wayne and his wife, Judy own a quiet "Lazy Little Farm" near Bonifay, FL, a pleasant rural community north of Panama City, where they raise a few cattle. Captain Wayne served on the board of trustees of his local church, worked with the local Emergency Management Team and was a member of the South Gulf County Volunteer Fire Department until his move to Holmes County in 2007.
In 2008 he founded Rowlett Real Estate School LLC when he came to realize his love for teaching. In this role, he believes his outside-of-the-box view resonates with students and makes it easier for them to learn.
For his achievements in the field, Mr. Rowlett earned recognition as the first in Florida to have a video course at Rowlett Real Estate School. In light of his outstanding breadth of knowledge, he also authored "Real Estate Principles and Practices" and has a following of 20,000 on the Real Estate One platform. While his career has been filled with highlights, he is most proud of pulling himself up by his bootstraps in a competitive world. Raised on a farm, he notes he is not afraid of work, hence, leading him to have a strong work ethic and no fear of obstacles. Looking ahead, Mr. Rowlett intends to experience the continued growth and success of his career.
