After earning a Bachelor of Science in metallurgical engineering from the Colorado School of Mines in 1978, Mr. Moore began his career as a blast furnace engineer and junior metallurgist with CF&I Steel Corporation until 1979, whereupon he became a senior metallurgical engineer and control metallurgist at the smelter at Inspiration Consolidated Copper Company, his first of many roles with increasing responsibilities within that company and with other copper companies including Cyprus, Phelps Dodge and Zambian Consolidated Copper Mines. Since 2017, he has served as a consulting engineer and, since 2016, as the founder and president of MET Engineering LLC. Well qualified in his field, Mr. Moore is also certified for NI 43-101 compliant reporting purposes and since 1986, has been a licensed professional engineer with the State Board of Licensure for Architects, Professional Engineers and Professional Land Surveyors.
In addition to his primary career endeavors, Mr. Moore has garnered experience in engineering and operations management of copper metallurgical extraction processes, including leaching, solvent extraction, electrowinning, concentrating, smelting and greenfield mine evaluation, as well as raising capital for junior level mining companies. He is also a member of the Society for Mining, Metallurgy and Exploration, and received a best safety record award in 1995.
Mr. Moore attributes much of his success to his early exposure to new technologies that were evolving as he began his career, which later became his areas of expertise. Among his career accomplishments, he is particularly proud to have spearheaded a major gold and copper project in the Philippines. In the coming years, Mr. Moore hopes to become more involved in the renewable energy sector.
