LA MIRADA, CA, December 08, 2021 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Thomas A. Norton has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Mr. Norton initially obtained a bachelor's degree from the University of Iowa. He continued his education with a graduate degree in comparative literature from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. In addition, Mr. Norton earned a certificate in psychoanalytic psychotherapy from the New Center for Psychoanalysis in Los Angeles.
Mr. Norton excelled as a professor of English composition and literature at Compton College in California from 2000-2021, at which point he was designated as Professor Emeritus. At Compton College, he served on the Institutional Effectiveness committee and the Curriculum committee. Mr. Norton was active as Secretary of the Executive Board and a Senator in the Academic Senate at the aforementioned college.
Mr. Norton has been affiliated with the Academic Senate for California Community Colleges, the American Association of University Professors and the International Neuropsychoanalytic Association. For many years, he has contributed to his community as a Lay Eucharistic Minister at his church. Mr. Norton also serves as an Associate of the Order of the Holy Cross, an international Anglican monastic order.
Mr. Norton attributes his success to his extended family, which he cited as a strong support system. In the near future, he is looking to recuperate from upcoming hip replacement surgery, religious studies, and writing - as a member of the Academy of American Poets - while enjoying his well-deserved retirement with his twin brother Andy and his soon-to-be adopted puppy.
