Dr. Igwé began his career in 2002 as an instructor and lecturer at his alma mater, Pennsylvania State University. He later became a senior strategic consultant for CSC Consulting from 2008 to 2010 where he developed CSC entry strategy into the Middle Eastern supply chain/logistics market. He also served as the executive director for City ACES (Athletics Changing Expectations) from 2009 to 2012, a non-profit organization that works with middle-school aged youth across the U.S. by lifting their self-esteem through education.
Upon earning a Bachelor of Science in civil and environmental engineering at the University of Oklahoma, Dr. Igwé continued his studies, obtaining a Master of Public Administration at the Fels Institute of Government at the University of Pennsylvania, a Doctor of Philosophy in information science and technology at the Pennsylvania State University, and a Master of Business Administration in strategic management at The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. He also completed a fellowship in the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University. Dr. Igwé's dissertation, titled 'Beyond the Digital Divide into Computer-Mediated Communications: A Content Analysis of the Role of Community Weblogs in Building Oldenburg's Virtual 'Third Places' in Black America,' was notably released in several professional publications, including Christian Science Monitor.
In 2021, Dr. Igwé was the recipient of a Healthcare Power 100 Award, for which he was ranked 57th throughout the city and state. He was also named to the Most Admired CEO of the Year class of 2021 by the Philadelphia Business Journal, and a 2021 Top Entrepreneur by Al Dia Media Group.
