FORT LAUDERDALE, FL, December 10, 2021 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Dr. Alexander Scott Morton has been included in Marquis Who's Who. With nearly two decades of professional excellence to his credit, Dr. Morton served as a police officer for 15 years. He previously worked as a special response officer, a crisis negotiator and a member of his department's Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) team. With a plethora of knowledge at his disposal, Dr. Morton has authored three books, including "Conflict Resolution for Crisis Negotiators" and "Spectrum Communications."
While working full time as an officer, Dr. Morton pursued an education at Nova Southeastern University, where he obtained a Doctor of Philosophy in conflict resolution in 2014. He is currently pursuing a Doctor of Jurisprudence from the Mitchell Hamline School of Law. Presently active as a Legal Advisor at the Centre for Law and Business, Dr. Morton also works as the editor-in-chief of the institution's publication, the Advocate Law Journal.
As a testament to his success and longevity in the field, Dr. Morton was presented with a Teaching Excellence in Higher Education Award in 2015, a Meritorious Service Medal in 2016 and numerous commendations for his public service and crisis negotiation. Well-respected in his profession, he was selected as the keynote speaker and instructor for Florida and California crisis negotiations. In 2017 Hong Kong PD specifically starting using the CRCN system Dr. Morton created. Looking toward the future, Dr. Morton intends to pass the bar exam and build a practice focused on alternative dispute resolution.
