Loder, PhD, with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award. An accomplished listee, Dr. Loder celebrates many years' experience in his professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes he has accrued in his field. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

After a long and successful career as the president of ERL Consultants, Mr. Loder retired in 2010. Maintaining his business for 25 years, it came on the heels of his tenure in several leading roles in the chemical engineering industry. As an expert in technical management, Mr. Loder spent eight years as the president of Delray Chemical between 1985 and 1993. He also excelled as the executive vice president of operations of DuBois Chemical in Cincinnati between 1966 and 1985. Mr. Loder's career as a chemist and chemical company executive was oftentimes challenging – and dangerous. He notably had the good fortune to survive a chemical plant explosion in 1962, which killed ten people and injured 46. Despite this calamity, Mr. Loder came to greatly enjoy his time in the field.

During the earliest stages of his career, Dr. Loder became active with the Junior Achievement of Cincinnati, a nonprofit youth organization where he spent seven years as the president and chairperson until 1975. Likewise, he is a fellow of the American Institute of Chemists. Dr. Loder is also a member of the American Society of Quality Control, the American Association for the Advancement of Science, the American Chemical Society and Sigma Xi.

Mr. Loder acquired a Bachelor of Science in chemistry and chemical engineering, summa cum laude, at Syracuse University in 1952. He had previously served between 1942 and 1952 in the U.S. Navy. Following the conclusion of his service, Mr. Loder earned a Doctor of Philosophy in organic and analytical chemistry at Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1955.
