Wallace Webster II has been Inducted into the Prestigious Marquis Who's Who Biographical Registry

Now retired, Mr. Webster distinguished himself as a banking executive until 2009



    LYNNWOOD, WA, December 14, 2021 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Wallace "Wally" Webster II has been inducted into Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

After a long and successful career that spanned four decades, Mr. Webster retired from Bank of America in Seattle as the senior vice president in 2009. In his role for more than 30 years, he was responsible for establishing and leading Six Sigma teams that systematically solved issues affecting the quality of service to thousands of customers. Among other achievements, Mr. Webster led various projects that resulted in millions of dollars in annualized savings benefits, positively affecting customer satisfaction and revenue streams. He also significantly increased the call center's customer service quality from 42% to 95% in just three years, including training call center personnel to cross-selling other bank products or to save booked loans by making mutually agreeable customer accommodation, which notably handles all consumer loans, including fixed and variable rate residential second mortgage loans across four different states.

After receiving an Honorable Discharge from the United States Air Force, Mr. Webster was named executive director for Benton-Franklin Community Action Committee from 1969 to 1973, where he reported to a 33-member board of directors and oversaw planning, directing and the administration of federal, state and local funded anti-poverty programs. Mr. Webster led the planning, development, and the $500,000 funding of East Pasco Neighborhood Center. The Federal Office of Economic Opportunity defunded the Community Action Committee in 1969. Mr. Webster was recognized as the top executive director and the agency was recognized as the top agency when he left his directorship in 1973.

Mr. Webster was subsequently named as the director of affirmative action for Central Washington University from 1973 to 1976, during which time he was responsible for compliance with federal and state equal opportunity laws and regulations on campus.
Mr. Webster's career in banking came after a two-year commitment as an employment and training manager for Boeing Computer Services Richland, in Richland, Washington, between 1976 and 1978. During those two years, he garnered experience in recruitment, employee orientation and training development programs.

Mr. Webster began his banking career as Director of Affirmative Action. He was responsible for guiding Rainier Bank, a predecessor to Bank of America, to meeting all the terms and conditions of a Class Action Consent Decree with the U.S. Department of Equal Employment Opportunity. The Consent Decree was satisfied and dismissed by the Federal Court two years ahead of schedule.

Engaged in various civic efforts, Mr. Webster serves as a member of the Snohomish County Multiple Agency Response Team (SMART), which conducts independent investigations of police use of force incidents. He is a member of the City of Lynnwood Chief of Police Advisory Committee and Chair of the Advisory Committee of Garden Shephard Senior Housing. He is a founding member and treasurer of the Lynnwood Sister Cities Association, chair of the Board of Trustees of Edmonds College, and immediate past chairperson and current member of the Board of Director of the Lynnwood Public Facilities District. Mr. Webster previously lent his time and expertise as a board director for the United Way of Snohomish County, the commissioner of the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Commission for the City of Lynnwood, and twice by different governors to the Board of Trustees of the Legal Foundation of Washington in Seattle, Washington. The Legal Foundation of Washington provides funding to civil legal aid agencies that represent unrepresented low-income people.

Highly-educated, Mr. Webster received an Associate of Arts in applied science and an Associate of Arts in business administration at Columbia Basin Community College in Pascoe, Washington. He subsequently earned a Bachelor of Science in business administration and a Master of Science in organizational behavior at Central Washington University in Ellensburg, Washington. Additionally, he completed Pacific Coast Banking School, in partnership with the Foster Graduate School of Business at the University of Washington, that offers graduate-level banking and leadership education, and completed the executive management program at the University of Washington. Mr. Webster held National Association of Securities Dealers Series 6 and Series 63 securities licenses and is a Six-Sigma Black Belt in process improvement methodologies.

Mr. Webster notably served his country as a sergeant in the U.S. Air Force from 1965 to 1969. As a testament to his commitment in his field, he is the current president of the Pacific Northwest Bankers Association in Seattle. Celebrating his expertise, Mr. Webster was recognized as the Branch Manager of the Year for 1990 and received the Leadership Excellence in Neighborhood Development Award from Bank of America in 2001.
