Ms. Graser has been endorsed by Marquis Who's Who as a leader in the fields of special education and academic administration

BARRINGTON, RI, December 14, 2021 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Marquis Who's Who, the world's premier publisher of biographical profiles, is proud to present Bernice Erckert Graser with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award. An accomplished listee, Ms. Graser celebrates many years' experience in her professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes she has accrued in her field. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Highly accomplished in her field, Ms. Graser is now a retired teacher, school principal, educational consultant and psychologist. Her background in the field includes teaching special education at United College of Gordon and Barrington in Barrington, Rhode Island, and working in administration as principal of the Pleasant View School for Handicapped Children in Providence, Rhode Island, and William D'Abate Memorial Elementary School in Providence. She also served as a special education supervisor for the Meeting Street School in East Providence, Rhode Island. Among her greatest accomplishments in the field was her establishment of the State Model Child Opportunity Zone while at the William D'Abate Memorial Elementary School.

Apart from her classroom hours, Ms. Graser worked as a consultant on educational reform. She also spoke frequently on critical educational issues and other topics and hosted and presented at numerous workshops. Outside of education, Ms. Graser produced a television broadcast, titled "International Celebrations of Cultures." She also authored and co-authored numerous articles in scholarly journals and contributed inspirational pieces and recitations in other publications.

Born in Buffalo, New York, Mr. Graser later studied at United College of Gordon and Barrington, where she achieved a Bachelor of Arts, magna cum laude, in 1963. She then completed a Master of Arts at Rhode Island College in Providence in 1965 and her doctoral studies at Boston University from 1969 to 1971. Ms. Graser is a certified elementary, preschool and high school handicapped teacher, certified special education administrator and certified school psychologist.

Ms. Graser's success in the field was predicated on her childhood, which included extensive reading in her family library. Becoming very curious about the meaning of life, she quickly realized at a very early age that she wanted to one day work with children in some capacity. Ms. Graser secured two ongoing grants from the U.S. Department of Education and one from Very Special Arts from the State of Rhode Island. She was also named School Administrator of the Year by the State of Rhode Island in 1993. A celebrated Marquis listee, Ms. Graser has been cited in 20 editions of Who's Who, including Who's Who in America, Who's Who in American Education, and Who's Who in Medicine and Healthcare.
