Throughout the following ten years, he thrived as a staff audiologist and director of audiology for a series of medical practices in the states of Mississippi, Alaska and Florida. In 2002, Dr. Otwell completed his education by earning a Doctor of Audiology from the University of Florida.
From 2002 until 2018, Dr. Otwell flourished while practicing audiology at his own practice, Audiology Consultants PC. He has since found further success as an audiologist and the owner of Hometown Hearing Care Inc., where he offers various diagnostic services and provides hearing aids. Moreover, in order to remain aware of the latest breakthroughs and innovations in audiology, Dr. Otwell has been a regular attendee of industry seminars and conventions across the U.S. for over 30 years.
Prior to his remarkable career in audiology, Dr. Otwell excelled as a firefighter and EMT. He was encouraged to pursue audiology by his wife, who has also enjoyed a successful career as a speech therapist. Though he is actively affiliated with the American Speech and Hearing Association and the American Academy of Audiology, Dr. Otwell intends to retire within the next three to five years.
