Ms. Borteck initially obtained a Bachelor of Science in education in 1963 before earning a Master of Arts in counseling from New York University in 1966. She subsequently completed education courses in real estate. Ms. Borteck began her career in education as a 5th grade instructor in the Needham School District in Massachusetts from 1965 to 1970.
Ms. Borteck was inspired to enter the real estate field after observing her husband's success with contracts, and her master's degree in counseling helped her to become an excellent communicator. She further flourished as an associate broker with Julia B. Fee in Scarsdale from 1987 to 2007, during which time she assisted clients with purchases in the Edgemont School District. Since 2011, Ms. Borteck has excelled as an associate broker with realtor Houlihan Lawrence, a leading Westchester County realtor since 1888.
Ms. Borteck has accrued over 30 years of professional experience, including representing numerous and varied international customers, several major corporate relocation companies and professional homebuilders and developers. Moreover, her areas of expertise include new construction purchases and sales, building renovations and remodeling, planning and zoning issues, environmental concerns, real estate tax assessment protests and tax deferred exchanges. Ms. Borteck is a member of numerous professional organizations, such as the Hudson Gateway Multiple Listing Service, the Hudson Gateway Association of Realtors, the New York State Association of Realtors and the National Association of Realtors.
